Yesterday was another sewing day. This time we had it at my sister, Debbie's house. I decided I wanted to make this table topper. I bought the kit at the California Run Quilt show in January and put it away. I got so busy doing other things that I forgot about it and found it when I was trying to figure out what wool project I wanted to make. Debbie decided to make this one too, so once again we got busy.
Here's a close up although I think my flash changed the colors a bit. I still have to finish the hand stitching on it and add the backing. I will post it when I finish it up.
This may not be big news for some of you, but for us....oh yippee! We finally got a Sonic in our area! So since we needed a lunch break, we headed on down to Sonic for a burger and onion rings. In our area, we have been seeing those Sonic commercials for years without being able to get to one unless you drive 100 miles or more, so we are happy! I could be in trouble though with the happy hour 1/2 price drinks!
Of course no sewing day is complete without a visit from Stella. She is getting so big and yesterday she turned over from her back to tummy for the first time right in front of our eyes!

love the table topper perfect for end of summer/beginning of autumn. I know exactly what you mean about Sonics they are so good now if we can get a red robin here (like you said watch commercials they are no where near us) I woudl be happy. What a sweet little princess you have adorable in all her pink. I am now a follower of yours as well.
Love the table topper... and that baby... so so cute!
I LOVE that wool table runner. I NEED THAT for my collection. Didn't you say I should just collect now in case I am poor later? Or did I make that up? LOL!
Sonic?? Where??? I've never been.
What a pretty table topper. And I must say Stella is just adorable. She is such a darling in her pretty outfit.
That table topper is gorgeous! I don't think I've ever sewn on wool.
Stella is just a doll baby - and I love her outfit! What a cutie!
Well, being from the south originally, Sonic was one of the things I missed when I moved to Ohio. But now we have one right down the road and I have to reign myself in not to go every day! :o)
XOXO,
Cyndi
cute baby! love the table topper!
thanks for visiting my blog.
Looks like a fun and productive day! How'd you get Stella to wear the hairbow/flower thingie? Sophie rips out even the tiniest clip!
First off, let me say that that photo of Stella sitting up is absolutely award-winning. She's precious.
And I got my dragonfly tote. Love, love, love it. I've left feedback at your etsy site. Do you have any of the fabric left? I'd love to have one of the smaller (8x8 1/2) totes made of the same material. I'm absolutely amazed at the craftmanship of the bag.
