Outdoor Wednesday...Glen Ivy Style...

Yesterday my sister and I drove to Glen Ivy for our niece's birthday. We got there when they first opened and I thought I'd give you the tour of why we love this place so much here in the Inland Empire...

It's like a tropical oasis, right in our own back yard. There are so many beautiful flowers and plants surrounding the place...you'd think you're on a tropical island somewhere in the Pacific!

It's off to store your belongings in the locker room...

Pick out a place to lounge in. We picked this area yesterday. It was a nice mix of sun and shade.

The floaties are ready for a relaxing time in the floating pool...

This pool is only a couple of feet deep and laying out on one of the floaties is so relaxing!

Here's one of the cool saline pools. It cools you down when you get a bit hot...

Here's one of the things that makes Glen Ivy so famous and why people come here from all over...

The mud! This type of mud is only found here. ..

You slather yourself up, let it dry, rub it off, shower in a nice warm shower, and you have the softest skin....oh my, my skin feels so good right now!!

More tropical plants...

So many water falls...

Misting areas all around to cool you down...

A hot saline tub. This one takes all your aches and pains away!

Another warm tub, just right for relaxing...in fact I got so relaxed after my day at Glen Ivy that I slept like a baby all night long...
I hope you enjoyed the tour! Go over to Susan's for more Outdoor Wednesday adventures.

Greetings from Glen Ivy!

Linda, your photos are AMAZING! I felt like I was right there with you throughout your visit to paradise. I hope you, your sister, and niece had a wonderful time celebrating your niece's birthday. Hopefully we'll be seeing you all lounging on some floats or playing in the mud soon!

At first glance, I thought the blue floaties was a blue iron fence and the mound of mud was chocolate. LOL! Wonderful compositions, you've made. This is my first time visiting your blog. I have fallen in love with the tree in your title!
