It's beginning to look a bit like Christmas...

Yesterday I officially began decorating for Christmas....it's a slow process for me. I like to take my time and think about all the years past and where I got or made the decorations I put up. I try to find each one the perfect spot...although many of them go in the same spot every year. I put lots of green garland on top of hutches and bookshelves...with all the pine cones I have been collecting for years...and yes...berries...I do love a bright red berry. I am very old fashioned, traditional, rustic in my Christmas decor and many of the items I so carefully place have been around for years and years...some maybe need to go, but they bring me joy and that's why I do what I do...the happiness it brings. Don wore his first Christmas tie today to work...he said he has the Christmas spirit now that the lights have gone up outside and the decorations are beginning to appear...that makes me glad...Christmas Spirit to me is joy and awe and maybe if there were a bit more of that in the world...well...you get my sentiment...

Enjoy you day, my friends and I hope you have the Christmas Spirit as well!!

Well, I haven't started decorating yet, but my son comes home from college this weekend, so that will probably be what we'll be doing then! The snow is really coming down, though and the shopping has started. Merry Christmas to you and yours!!

I think your santa is too well dressed. You don´t have that much cold weather. :)
