Outdoor Wednesday...rainy day style...

To those of you who actually live where there is rain on a regular basis...this may not mean much to you...but here, in my neck of the woods....rain is a news story. We will see "Storm Watch 2010" on the local news and there will be newscasters telling us all about where it's raining...it's quite funny actually!
But it's only October and we got a small storm passing through and for us...wonderful! Look...there are actual raindrops...not drizzle... rain!

It is wonderful to see everything all wet...

Can you see those raindrops on my flag....awesome!

I don't have to water the grass...

or the flowers...

and the trees get all the dust washed off them!
As you tell...I like the rain. I love what it does here...our normally dry hills will get some green...we won't have to turn on the sprinklers...but beware of driving...we don't do that well in the rain. It's supposed to be dry tomorrow and temperatures will go back up this weekend....but for a little while we have a taste of Autumn...and I love it!!

Great topic for a post -- and hope you enjoyed the rain smell too! Hints of dust being kicked up into the air by the tiny droplets hitting the ground.... mmm mmmm.

We are having a beautifully sunny and COOLISH day.

But, I'm glad you are enjoying your rain.

I can't believe how you caught that raining coming off the roof. That's my favorite shot! You should frame that.

Actually, I loved them all. The detail of the water makes every one of them pretty.

Yep, raining here up on the central coast too. Amazing but true! So much better than news about fires this time of year!

We're really short on rain this year but I am like you = I love the rain except driving in it.

Our weather channels do the same thing when snow is here or even if it's just predicted. We normally don't get that much snow in Washington. Enjoy the rain.

We get a lot of rain but I mostly love it. Gloomy days make me happy.

I love the way the rain refreshes the air. We've had a rainy summer, but it's been nice to keep things growing.

Since you needed rain, I am glad to see the big rain drops. It does not seem to rain right anymore. One time it floods for a day and then it will not rain again for months.

Nothin waters quite as well as a nice gentle rain, does it? I well remember the "rainy day schedule" in San Diego; here it's life as usual. Our daughter stomped home when we first moved here and announced that they had to go out for recess IN THE RAIN!

I know how dry CA is and how much the rain is needed there. I'm glad you got to enjoy some rainy day goodness! I loved the photo you took of the rain drops falling off the roof!
