This morning it's a lot cooler here...down right gloomy out. Lola and I drove over to the dog park first thing this morning and she found a couple of lab pups to run with. They were 6 month old sisters and full of energy. After that we went for a nice long walk...all around the park...I forgot my camera, but we had a nice time. I thought I wore her out...I was worn out, but after a quick nap, she was ready to go...she's on bird patrol now...I feed birds in my back yard...and I have a ton back there and she thinks it's her duty to keep the yard bird free....
I think there's some in here...
none in the tomato plants...
OK...I'll just stand here and wait...they'll be back...
On a completely different note...I gardened a bit while Lola guarded the yard...this rose bush is full of blooms and they are so pretty...
I love the color they turn when they open...
It's kind of a pinkish, coral color.
Now on another completely different note...here's a bag I made for my sister's quilt over ...she went this past weekend. I made it to hold a pattern and kit for a small quilt. The fabric for the quilt it the same as the bag...Pure by Moda...I love this fabric.
Here's one that I brought to the The Wool Lady's store in Temecula. I liked the lady bug and dragon fly fabric...the background almost looks like a worn out pair of jeans in a green color...very nice to work with.
This fabric was so vibrant that I didn't think it needed much, so I left it sort of plain. I do like they way it came out. It's hard to tell, but the fabric is canvas and I quilted it.

I think I'll spend the rest of the day working on some projects for my home and finish a blanket for Project Linus...I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!!

It is rainy and gloomy here today too but I am happy to finally have the rain! Lola sure looks happy and enjoying herself! The roses are absolutely gorgeous! What a beautiful color! Lovely shots!
Lola looks so sweet! I'd love to snuggle those ears!
The first tote is so pretty. Reminds me of winter.
Hi Linda,
Your dog looks like a very muscular, full of energy type of guy. It is hard to wear them out!
I adore your rose! So lovely. Your handbags are also gorgeous! What great bags!!! I love them.
Hugs, Cindy
Lola does look like a total sweetie. And, those flowers are gorgeous.
It's a fun post for sure, with Lola, roses, and bags..Of course, I love the rose!
Gloomy? HUH? I thought it was glorious!!!
Cute doggin' and love the bags, as usual!!
what a beautiful dog! and roses :)
i had that lady bug print in gracie's room when she was a baby...so sweet!
Great purses! You have a good eye for color/design! Love the bow and heart on your sis's bag. That's a lovely rose; do you know its name? Gracious, your bird friends are either really tolerant or having a collective nervous breakdown! Cute doggie, bet he keeps you hopping!
We had a cool and rainy day today too! Lola is so alert and full of energy..I enjoyed seeing the photos of her jumping up to play with the water hose spray in your prior post.
You have such beautiful peach colored roses!
the purses you made are very pretty! You chose very nice fabric. I especially loved the one with the ladybug pattern.
Great bags and beautiful dog! She's gorgeous! I'd love to see your Project Linus project.

What a good dog sitter you are to take Lola to the park. Saw her playing in the water too. Very energetic girl.
Your roses are beautiful. I have a rose similar to those. Loved them, but didn't get many blooms this year.
What a great idea to make a tote for gifting a quilt or kit. Love the fabric too.
Where did you find such cute canvas for the other tote?
Lola's a hard worker!
Love the bags for the quilts!
Such a creative mind you have. Each one is different.
