Another blanket finished...

Yippee!! I have another finished blanket to donate to Project Linus...I try and rotate colors... boy...girl...this one is for a boy.
Just in case you haven't read my previous blogs...Project Linus donates blankets of all kinds to children that are sick or have had a trauma of some sort. They accept blankets of all styles...the only thing is...they must be hand made in a smoke free environment...I prefer to do Swedish weaving, because I like it and it's fast for me, but quilts, tied fleece, knitted, crocheted blankets are all great...so if you have been looking for something to do with your spare time...this is a charity that is doing a lot of good...I know how comforting my own kids' blankets were to them!

Here's a close-up in case you're curious about how it's done. Swedish weaving is fun and fast...it was so easy for me because I have done cross stitch for so long.

Happy Monday...I hope you're having a great start to another week!!

I wouldn't mind having something like that myself. I must add that idea to my future projects for after we move.

A lovely way to bring a little joy to someone....

So nice to see you working for Project Linus. I know a young lady in our town who campaigns tirelessly for them.

Beautiful, Linda! What is the fabric, and where do you find it? I'd love to try this...is it really not hard? It looks difficult! Is the thread purl cotton?

Hi Linda. This is gorgeous! I have no idea what Swedish weaving is; but it doesn't look easy. Thank you for your kind comments on my blog.
