Leaving on a jet plane....

Last week Don and I took a trip up to Northern California to visit his brother, Gerry and his wife, Chris. We had a great time...I took alot of pictures and I will take my time showing them to you...When we left Ontario Airport it was cloudy and cool..there had been a cool front in our area...we were happy to say that it was nice up in the North too!
Our plane took off and got high above the clouds...I think the tops of clouds are so pretty...this is the only time we get to see this side!
We passed over the mountains....
And headed into Central California...
We took our picture...Don is a bit nervous...he doesn't like to fly...
We got a snack...
Central Valley...where so much is grown to feed our state and the rest of the country...
Heading down into Sacramento...you can see the Sacramento River...and all the corn fields...
We went to get our baggage...do you think we packed enough...
Don is happy to have his feet on the ground...now we're off on our adventure!
I'll tell you all about our trip later...I'm off to mow lawns and do laundry...enjoy the day, my friends!!

Glad you got out of the heat for a while, although it was cooler last week here too. Love the picture of the two of you. I think Southwest is the only one who still offers snacks. Look forward to more pictures of your trip.
Your apple crisp looks so yummy, but will save the recipe for fall. I don't dare bake in this heat.
Still want to meet up with you. This is the 3rd week without a car. Next week I will have 2 of my grandkids here, but maybe we can get together the week after that.
Yes the humidity during 4th of July week about got to me too.
Stay cool. Hope to see you soon

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip. Flying can be quite an adventure in itself.
