My worlds of bins and plastic totes...

Lately, I've been reading a lot of posts about blogger's craft and sewing areas...so I thought I'd give you a peek into my world of bins and plastic totes...Let me start by letting you know...I live in a very small home...a little less than 1200 square feet...but I love my home...it just gets a bit crowded sometimes...this is the sewing area that Don built for me. It a very big space...I can really spread out...but it has to be multipurpose...it is for all of my crafts...scrap booking too. It is really an L shaped area...the computer is on the other table. You can see all my small plastic bins...those hold small pieces of wool, buttons, needles, and some of my DMC floss that I use everyday...
Large bins hold fabric and larger pieces of wool...since I get wool clothing from thrift stores and flannel it myself...I need lots of storage...these bins are tucked away in the corner of the room.

Don built some shelves in the closet years ago and I take every advantage of this space for more bins...I have fabric everywhere...

I told you I live in a world of plastic bins...here's more fabrics and some scrapbook tools as well...

A few more plastic bins...getting ridiculous isn't it! But since my house is small and I don't have a dedicated room for sewing...I've taken over this room and I need to keep it very organized. When I am sewing ...things tend to go everywhere and I feel bad for Don when he comes home from work! This room is actually very large but it is used as a den, office and sewing and scrap book room...talk about your multipurpose room!
This week I have been doing a bit of Spring cleaning...trying to get more space out of what we have. Things are getting done and I feel pretty good about my space right now...but then wait until I start another project and ....look out!
Enjoy the rest of your day, my friends!

Wow! It looks nicely organized to me. I have some organization going but seem to enjoy having an awful lot of little things out where I can see them...I think I'm really still about 8 yrs old :-)

I think it looks as if you are really organized! That is truly the most important thing, more than the amount of space it is how you use it. It looks great!

Wow! You definitely have your room and stash well tamed and it looks great too. When would you like to come over and sort out my mess?

What would we do without these bins? I really like the clever way you store your ribbon! I must admit I use a lot of ziploc bags as well. Speaking of bags, I really love your latest set!

Looks like you are well organized. Those plastic bins are made just for quilters........

Don sounds like a keeper.
