Busy Week...

Last week was a busy one. So busy, in fact, that I hardly was on the computer to update anything. I started out spending Monday finishing up a teddy bear for my new great niece, Stella. I think it turned out pretty cute. I have never made a teddy bear before, but I think I'll make more. It was pretty easy.
The next day I went to Rogers Gardens in Newport Beach with my sister. There is nothing like this in our area. Of course I spent way too much on plants, but they are all happy in their new homes now!

The hill sides full of foxgloves were so pretty.

I thought this was such a clever idea in the house plant building.
The next day I was off to San Diego to go to thrift stores with my younger son, Stephen. He knows where all the good ones are down there. We scored on wool skirts, all at 1/2 price! We found 8 of them in a wide variety of colors. We even found pink and the much sought after blue! We also got a beautiful dresser at the Salvation Army Thrift store where Stephen bargained his way down to almost 1/2!

Sunday, my niece Tracey came to town to visit with her new niece Stella! We are so glad to have her here for a visit. It hasn't been the same since she moved to Connecticut.

We all met at The Spaghetti Factory for dinner. It was a good time had by all!

Of course I couldn't end this without a picture of me with the ever so beautiful Stella!

Hi again Linda. Love the bear. I had a quilted one, same pattern, same size, and a few years ago, I went through a period of getting rid of things, and that was one of the things I regretted getting rid of. What was I thinking? I would love to know where you got the pattern, so I can make one. I have a couple antique quilts I could use. Love your yards and gardens. And that Stella is gorgeous isn't she!!!
