An unexpected surprise...

I have never made a very big deal out of Mother's Day...I think it's the other 364 days in the year that really mean something to me...I have never wanted my boys to spend their hard earned money on gifts for me to show they care...phone calls and visits are far more important. In fact...there have been years when I bought my boys gifts...to thank THEM for being my sons because I just love them so much!!
Imagine my surprise when these showed up at my door...they are beautiful...they made me cry...because it was such an unexpected thoughtful gesture...Thank you Joseph and Selin...you are two of the best part of my life! The other two will be coming up to spend the morning with Don and I at the Rose Bowl flea market  ...how blessed I am to have such great sons and daughters!!
Last week I read an article in the paper about Mothers...it was interesting...the author wrote about all the chores of Motherhood...but I never looked at it that way...it has always been a privilege and a pleasure to be a Mom...my sons mean the world to me...they are the greatest gifts God and my husband gave me...and for them I am eternally grateful.
Happy Mother's Day !!
Until next time...enjoy your day!!!

I agree that it is an honor to be CC's mom and never a chore no matter the work involved. The tulips are lovely and you took beautiful photos. Have fun tomorrow.

Oh what a lovely surprise. I agree with you. I always tell my boys it's the thought that counts. Enjoy your beautiful flowers and your outing with the family on Mother's day.
