What's happening to my family?????

 Ok...I know you've seen this........
but now there's this...what's going on here???
Here's the two of them together.......oh my...actually Don's stitches were taken out today...his crutches are gone and he actually can wear his slippers...so things are going well with him...but the other casted one is my oldest son...he fractured not one...get ready...but two wrists...thanks goodness that's all he has!! This is the left wrist...it has been put in a cast and the little button on it is a bone healing sonogram connection. The doctor sent him home with his own machine which he is to use for 20 minutes everyday. Once this wrist is healed and the cast comes off...then he has to have surgery on the right wrist...with a metal pin and everything...that one is in a brace right now. He actually fractured that wrist last winter, but never went to the doctor...he's 31...so my nagging only goes so far...now that he's injured the left wrist he asked for them both to be checked and there are fractures on each one...he injured them both snow boarding...and just in case you're wondering...he's up snow boarding right now...yes he is...complete with a cast...and a brace!! He assures me that he will refrain from jumps until he is better...just snowboard safely down the slopes.......like I said...a mother's nagging...I mean gently talking to him only goes so far.......
Until next time....enjoy your day!!!

For shame on your son for going back up the hill with both wrists in casts!!!! I had a little girl here today who had both wrists in casts from a snowboarding accident recently too!!!
I liked the days of simple celebrating with V Day too Linda.

I can't believe he is snowboarding!!! I suggest you wrap your entire family in bubble wrap and make them sit on the couch.

Hope you are all feeling better soon! Bubble wrap might be a good suggestion.

My goodness...two casts in one family ~ hope they both are completely mended soon.

While I was here I visited your earlier post on the garden, it looks so pretty! So many lovely things blooming. I love you little toad figure; he is adorable. Wasn't it wonderful to finally get a bit of rain, all of the plants really liked it.

Oh no! I can't imagine have 2 broken wrists and ever wanting to snow board again!! My son is 29 and telling him what to do is like talking to the wind. My daughter at 27 actually does listen. It must be a guy thing!

At first when I saw the picture, I was worried it was you. My mind was worrying...how can she make her fantastic bags?
Glad to hear Don is up and around, but what to do with grown kids that won't listen, huh?
Hope he heals well and doesn't injure it further.
I have been seeing you bags on facebook, so know you are staying busy. Sorry your show cancelled.

Guess I had more catching up to do than I realized....wow....what can you say about a family that casts together? They mend together AND stay together? Glad Don is on the mend - and hope your son is as well - but yikes...back to the hair of the dog that bit him??? Shame! My son is just recovering from his second knee surgery since 11/30 - and this one wasn't successful either. Another appt today, another specialist on Wednesday - and we're running out of hope. Anywho - hope your men are all healing and well....Hugs ~ Robin

That must’ve been a dreadful time for you to see your kids get injured. Snowboarding can be very dangerous sometimes, particularly if one does not take precautionary measures. I hope they have totally recovered by now. Don’t forget to remind them to be careful always, or else they might end up visiting an orthopedic again. @ Fort Lauderdale Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine
