It feels like Spring...

Other than the intense winds we have been having on and off for the last month or so...it's feeling very Spring like in my yard. The weather channel is predicting temperatures above 80 for the weekend. Right now it is about 65 and very windy...but when I went out to feed the birds this morning, my flowers were so cheerful...I wanted to share a few with you. This primrose is such an intense yellow...almost orange...I love primrose and I have a few new ones in the front that I will share with you when they start to bloom...
Who doesn't love stock flowers...we have these all over the back and front in all different colors...

These cheery daisies are in a pot under my tangerine tree. If I plant them in the ground they get too big and woody...I like them in a pot...

Here's a small part of the flower bed along the back of my back yard...the snap dragons are getting tall and the violas, English daises and white snow mums are filling in quite nicely...I know when it's perfect and that's when I can't see dirt anymore...I do love a full garden!

This is a king daffodil ...

Another king daffodil...

I planted these bulbs in Fall of 2009...they have made lots of little bulbs...I like when they do that! I have hostas that will come up when these fade away...

English daisies are so much fun...we have pink ones too, but the white ones are doing the best right now...they are popping up everywhere! Isn't it fun when the flowers come back from a rest! Sometimes I forget where I originally put them and bulbs pop up right in the middle of other plants...

OK...I know the name of these, but now I forget...these are a succulent and they will be bright pink...we have them in orange too...

Another plant I don't remember the name of...I'm bad like that...I never said I was a master gardener though...I just love to garden...I plant what makes me happy...I've never had a plan...I just layer everything...it works for me! We have lived in our house for 27 years and the yard has changed and evolved through time. I don't like fussy plants...our summers are too hot and our climate is too dry...

Here is a close up of the flower on the plant above...it is about 3 years old and I forgot to save the tag when I bought it...I liked the color...both the flower and the leaves...I have learned that the grayer the green in the leaves...the less water they need...and that's a good thing here!
Well...I have rambled on long enough for one day...
I will be spending the rest of my day sewing and waiting for these dreaded winds to die down...
Enjoy your day, my friends!!

These are so beautiful. We had two inches of snow yesterday and single digits temps this morning. Your dose of spring is much needed!

I envy your spring flowers and those temperatures. We are getting very tired of freezing around here! The flower photos brightened my day! Thanks for visiting me.

Nice flowers, and way ahead of us! We have witch hazel in bloom but that's about it for now.
