April showers...

Once again...the weather has turned cold and rainy...I love it!! Everything got a nice watering in the yard...I won't have to water now for quite a while...it's pretty chilly too. I just went outside and looked at the thermometer in the back and it read 54 degrees...that's chilly for mid-April here! There was a ton of thunder yesterday too...and some really hard rain in the late afternoon and evening...it was perfect sewing weather!
When I looked outside on the front porch...this is what I saw...a late snow storm...oh so beautiful!! Some people don't like this...but it's great for our area...it keeps the skiing areas open a bit longer...great for the local economy...and keeps the fire danger down for a while too...and gives my area more good drinking water...plus...it looks so pretty too!
The snow looks pretty low too...maybe about 2000feet...the small hills in front are about 1400 feet or so...

In other news...I want to say a huge Thanks for all the prayers sent Don's way...he seems to have turned a corner...we think the steroids are working and he is feeling much better. He actually has some energy and he hasn't had to use the inhaler for the last couple days! He is still coughing...but not as much and not as hard. His pulled muscle still hurts and there is a HUGE bruise there...poor thing...but all in all...he is MUCH better. I think if all goes well...he will be back to normal in a couple weeks...Thank the Lord!! We are so blessed to have had so many people sending out prayers!
Until next time...enjoy your day!!!

Glad that Don is doing well. We had a cold snap here in KY this past week. The weather has really been strange!

These were the first mountains I ever saw, and I've loved mountains ever since. Your photos brought back great memories, Linda. So glad to hear that Don is on the mend!!!

Glad to hear Don is feeling better! We're expecting lots of rain today & tomorrow. I pulled all my potted plants that are under cover that I normally water by hand out onto the patio so they can get some good rain water! Your pics are sooo pretty!!
