What's my style...

I was watching HGTV the other day and a program called "Secrets of a Stylist" came on...she goes to people houses and asks a couple questions to find out their style and then fixes up a room...it got me to wondering...what's my style?? I didn't know there were so many out there. If I answered by showing bits and pieces of my home...what would I be?? I like light and bright rooms...with new shiny hardware...

Painted furniture...

Old wood that has character...

Thrift finds...

Metal...

That's a bit rusted and worn...

The outdoors brought inside...

Pattern...

Whimsy...

And lots of color...

I also like primative...sometimes...Americana...and home made...so I wonder what my design style is??I don't think I can label myself anything in particular...my tastes change from time to time and I just bring home what I like in the moment and hope it all works together somehow...What about you...what's your style?

Linda my style is "eclectic," as I seem to like a lot of differenmt styles like you do! I think comfort is important as each room of my home is well used.

I love your little cabinet with ceramic drawers..so cute!

Whatever it is - it's a GREAT style - and not just because I also have the watering can you featured!

Hey Linda! I think you have a great eclectic style...bits of garden style, cottage style, country, and romantic style all thrown together, and it works! Your house looks beautiful - no matter what the style! :o)

My style is basically "cottage"... I love old painted and chipped furniture, faded floral fabrics, and vintage stuff everywhere. However, I am not a clutter person, so that aspect of the cottage style is not for me!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Hi Linda. I love those little bird hooks. I bought a similar piece in Montana on our honeymoon 5 years ago. It is one of my favorite mementos. You have a great style!
P.S. Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. It is lovely to meet you!

I always say I'm eclectic. I tend to be somewhat traditional but not formal and then I add touches of things that make me happy, seashells, flowers, books...it changes over time.
