I've been busy around here...

I've been pretty busy lately...not just sewing...but doing all sorts of not so glamorous things and some fun things too! I spent yesterday in San Diego with my sons...we didn't do anything special...walked in Balboa park with Lola...went to buy cables for their X-boxes...walked to the deli for a sandwich...It was a great day! Can't think of a better way to spend my time except having Don along...and Anna and Selin! I've been gardening too...that's always nice and relaxing...for me... any ways...and I have done some sewing...I have a couple bags to show you that I have added to my Etsy shop...This is a little messenger bag. It was a fun one to design and make...

Here's a glimpse of the inside...I like this size of bag for so many reasons...it's light and easy to carry around when you're walking and you'd be surprised at how much can fit in here. I made one this size for my dentist and she walked all over Europe with it...she said it was perfect...and now that's she's home, she says it's the perfect size to take to Bible study.

This one is a bit bigger...but not much...I love this owl canvas...it is bright and cheery...so I copied one of the owls and appliqued him in pink instead of the green...

The inside is pretty roomy as you can see...and I layered the button on this one.

I made a hat for Stella too! At this point I hadn't finished the straps...I had to measure her for the Velcro...next time I think I'm going to try a wide elastic for the strap. I liked this pattern...the double ruffle is cute and it covers her better. It's hard to see how cute it turned out...I will get a picture of her wearing it when I give it to her....we tried taking a photo when I was measuring for the strap...but she wasn't happy being held down to measure....needless to say...that picture won't be appearing any time soon!

I have a few bags in the partly done and design stages...I rarely do a repeat of a bag...unless I am asked to do it...and even then I make them a tad different...I want each bag to have it's own personality. My designs change all the time...I am really into the wool applique right now....who knows what tomorrow will bring...

Enjoy your day, my friends!!

Your bags are so cute...I do like the owl also.
I can't believe you were so mean as to torture poor little Stella to measure her for that adorable hat :)

Thank you for stopping by to enjoy our first Day lilly...the only thing I don't love about them is the "day" part...wish the blooms would last longer.

Have a great day, blessings Kelsie
