I'm sewing in the rain...

Not much happening in my little corner in the world so I thought I'd show you a couple bags I finished...this one I completed this morning...it is raining here today... so it is the perfect time to sew!
It's also the perfect day for stew...and I have that cooking in the crock pot...wow...I didn't realize how close up this shot was...the weave on the polka dot looks really loose ...it doesn't appear that way when I look at it!

This bag I finished a day ago and it was really a long time coming...do you hoard fabric??I do!! I bought this bird fabric about a year ago and just kept looking at it...I knew I wanted to pair it up with something...but what...on a recent shopping trip I found this pumpkin colored cotton by Andover...and I think it is a good match...
I also had this bird button from Button Mad and it was a good fit too...what do you think?
This fabric is so pretty...of course I love birds and flowers...and orange...so I guess that's why I liked this pairing so much...
I have orders to complete...more bags to make for the December craft show and my Etsy shop...so I shouldn't be spending all day on the computer...but I wanted to say "Hi!" and let you know what I'm up to...not too much...but come Sunday we will be heading down to San Diego for a visit with our boys and girls! Until  then... I will be enjoying the rain and sewing!!
Have a great day...and a wonderful weekend!!!

What cute bags! I love that little bird button. We enjoyed a bit of rain too, and it's finally chilly. There was even snow in the local mountains. You must see it from the other side too :)

Two beautiful bags. Love the ruffles on the first one.
You sould keep the bird bag for yourself. The fabric is so pretty and you chose just the right shade of orange for it. Cute button too. Love the way you layer them. Glad you are getting some sewing done. I love sewing in the rain too.

I love the bag with the birds. I don't know anything about sewing, but that looks like difficult fabric to keep lined up straight! I always love those added touches of yours!

Just chanced upon you as another Linda on Farmchick's blog. However this one can't sew! I've just bought a bag a bit like this in Edinburgh for nearly £60... Do you do export orders?!
