It's hard to believe that it's November already...this has been such a nice warm October here...the nights are cool and that has helped the Mums...don't you just love Mums in the Fall...I know I do!
I have all my Mums in pots in my yard...that way I can move them around to give a nice beautiful show when they are blooming and other things may not be and then slip them back into the shade in the hotter weather...
Some of the plants are in full bloom, others are just beginning to show color and still others are full of buds just waiting to open...
Can you see the visitor on this one? He seems to like the Mums too!
This plant is full of buds...soon we will enjoy a show from her...all my plants are girls...I mean who ever heard of a boy flower! They are my beautiful girlfriends...I know...I know...I'm a bit weird...I've heard it all before...
It's still warm enough for roses to bloom...
And the Cone Flowers are still blooming...although not as large...and they still have quite a few visitors...
I finished a new bag for my Etsy shop...the flowers and birds in my yard inspire me...I was going for little Mums on the bag...they are sort of Mum like...
Here's a close up...the applique is all wool of course and the bag is a wool blend...I really liked working with this fabric...it is really soft...
Here's a peek at the inside...I liked this cotton for the lining...it sort of reminds me of little pebbles...or tan bubbles...not sure which...
As I said it's been pretty warm around here...today is a bit cooler...when I went outside to feed the birds a while ago it was 67 degrees...it should stay in the 70's today...I heard that rain is in the forecast by Friday...but the dreaded wind is supposed to come tomorrow...have I told you how much I dislike the winds...Around here they get so dry and hot and blow everything from every one's yards into my front yard...not to mention the tumble weeds...those get huge around here sometimes! But it is pleasant today...and I plan on going out and fiddle in my flower beds after lunch...I have been sewing all morning and need a little break ...so...until next time...
Enjoy the day!!!

It must be wonderful to be able to enjoy exotic flowers so late in the year!
I really love the owl applique on the bag - so cute!
Best wishes

Hi Linda!
I returned from a two week trip through California last weekend, where we traveled from San Diego to San Francisco along the coast highway. I love your pretty state.
This owl bag is adorable! I love all your bags.
Hope you had a fun Halloween!
Your flowers are gorgeous Linda. The colors are fabulous. Your owl is too cute and that fabric is scrumptious!
Enjoy your warm weather!
Angela
Your mums are beautiful! Mine are dead in their pots! Too hot here for them, but I buy them anyway! Love your little owl bag!!
Beautiful macro shots. My mums are looking a bit....not so great. lol
Hi! Your flowers are beautiful and you took such great pictures of them! I still have lots of things blooming as well, the roses look here look great and we have had a couple of frosts!
As for the pup...you should go ahead and get one. The first couple of nights were a bit rough, but last night we only got up once. She really has added a lot of life to a house where we were pretty boring!
Such pretty pretties.....The colors here in Nod are brown...and more brown...intriguing shade of brown...but brown nonetheless....Your climate amazes me. As does your sewing...it's absolutely impeccable.... Happy November (do your flowers know it's November???) ;o) Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

simply wonderful!!! :)
I love mums....they are one of the things about Fall that I enjoy the most. And I don't think you're weird calling your flowers your girlfriends...I feel like that with my flowers and all the little critters running around outside, too!
That bag - as usual - is just beautiful! You do such wonderful work, Linda. I so enjoy looking at all of your bags. Soon as I get caught up on a few things, I'm going to be making some bags, too!
Have a wonderful day, my friend!
XOXO,
Cyndi
