Stop and smell the roses...

As I was trimming and cleaning one of the beds in my yard to day...I noticed all the roses in full bloom...they are so pretty and many of them smell just so darn good!
As I've said in past posts...I know very little about roses...just that I like them...and they seem to like me!
My roses don't have fancy names or pedigrees...most of them came from Trader Joes or Home Depot...
Many are miniature...some are big...I have many shades of pink...

And I do enjoy them so much...I hope you enjoyed them too! These are not all of them...but I din't venture out of the back yard...
No...this is not a rose...but when I was snapping close ups...I looked up and took in the beauty of our birch trees...these give my yard so much shade...and I love them too!! We have six birch trees in our back and side yard...they are glorious trees...they blow gently in the wind...which we get a LOT of...give privacy to our back and side yards...and make us feel like we're in our own secret garden.
I hope you have something in your own yard that makes you feel as happy as I do...I adore being outside...and gardening is what I do...some people think I work all the time in my yard...but its not work to me...its pure joy!!
Until next time...enjoy the day!!!

Thanks for sharing your roses with us. I love, love roses and have a yard full of them as well. Shade trees really make a yard, don't they. I know you enjoy your yard.

I've never had roses. I've always heard they were very difficult to keep, maybe not? So pretty! Have really been enjoying our back yard, until yesterday when we hit 103 degrees. Now I only enjoy the pool.

Your roses are beautiful. I am trying to keep my moms rose bushes alive. I am having a problem with mildew and it is driving me crazy.

I did enjoy your roses...wishing for smellablog. I love roses, but don't have them in my small garden. Have had them in the past, but they don't like me as much as I like them. I think I don't prune right.
Anyway, thanks for sharing yours.

Your roses are beautiful! I have lots of them, and I love them too.
Why, I believe you could plant a broomstick and make it grow!!!

I would certainly say that roses like you...they are stunning! My tulips are what is pretty here right now. I did try to get pictures...I'll post them soon.

My husband is the gardener here. I love to go to the nurseries and pick things out and plan...but most of the work is done by my husband. He finds it very relaxing. I find it dirty and hot!!

Those are some pretty roses! I have a few rosebushes but I really want to plant some more and different varieties.

We had a birch tree at our old house and I really loved it. One of my favorite trees!
