Little Golden Memories...

Funny how when we get to a certain age...things from our past flood back so many memories. I found this Little Golden Book at the flea market on Sunday...I had to buy it. It was printed in 1942...well before my birth...but the memory of reading these to my boys when they were small just made me smile and want this book...
I love this boy and girl...so wholesome...
His little face reminds me of my oldest son at that age...funny how sometimes we have to have something because of the emotion attached to it!
The pages of the book are filled with wonderful illustrations...
And all our favorite Nursery Rhymes...
At the bottom of all the nursery rhymes are black and white illustrations...so sweet!
I just had to share this sweet find with you...it only cost a couple dollars...less than a brand new one I think...I actually haven't opened one of these little books in years...my sons are in their 30's...no Grand children yet...but I think I need to share this with a special child sitting in my lap...singing the songs and having some fun together.
Until next time...enjoy your day!!!

I'm here to catch up. I am so sorry to hear about your Mom's fall! I hope that it turns out to be a blessing in disguise with finding the heart blockages. Pray she heals fast!!
Love all of your handmades, and Don's too. I am a big fan of The Vintage Little Golden Books!!!
Hugs,
Kris
