Sometimes you need a little comfort food...

There are days when I go back to the food that has comforted my family for years....to heck with eating lo-cal and watching everything that goes in my mouth type of food. Well...not that I watch everything that goes in my mouth....but I do try to eat healthy. I love chicken and what's better than fried chicken I ask...not much! My fried chicken is a no fuss kind of meal. Add in some fresh...and on sale I might add...corn on the cob and you've pretty much hit a home run...but the cole slaw and a biscuit hit the ball out of the park! Hey...Don loves baseball....and fried chicken, so this ones for him!
It's going to be another hot one in my neck of the woods...yesterday it was 106...today...a cooling trend is in the forecast...only 104! I have been out in the garden for the last couple of hours and I decided to come in for a little break. My stomach was rumbling because I went out before breakfast....maybe that's the reason for the food post...anyway...have a great day!!

Yum! After all that gardening, you deserve some comfort food! Can you even move? It looks great, BTW.

The bird is precious! I'm so glad you had your camera. I know what you mean about seeing those bushes move...it's like magic when you see the birds isn't it? Lovely post.

That plate of food looks so good I can almost taste it. A scoop of mashed potatos and butter and honey for on that biscuit and a cold glass of iced tea, and I'd be there. Thanks for the photo.
