We got up early and drove into San Francisco...our hotel was about 11 miles south of the city...this is the Bay Bridge....
The kids were excited to finally get to Pier 39...Fisherman's wharf!
Lots of happenings all around the Bay...it's so huge...with so many giant ships like this it needs to be!
We walked all around Fisherman's wharf...some places it was so cold and windy...so glad I brought my sweater!
Lots of interesting things to see down here....
I found some beauty here...there were planters everywhere...I like that!
The foxgloves were huge!
We found a small farmer's market too...yum!
Had to get some of these too...my favorite!!
There were lots of smaller boats to look at too...
And lots of sun bathers! These wooden islands were made for the sea lions...I think they approve!
The Golden Gate Bridge in the fog...
Alcatraz Island off across the water....
Of course we had to stop in the Boudini Bakery...sour dough bread from here is wonderful...we got a few loaves to bring home...they make the best grilled cheese and tomato sandwiches...Yum!!
How would you like a loaf of bread like this! I think it would make a perfect gift to bring to a dinner party!
We enjoyed the morning...time to go see if we can find Lombard Street and the Presidio...
Until next time...enjoy your day!!!
