A scrappy little project
Voila...a new table scape. It didn't take very long and I'm really new to quilting, but I think it came out pretty cute. I figured it's a start. I will try a table runner next, but for now, I'm happy with what I am learning!

Outdoors Wednesday...
My apple tree is very full right now and the apples are getting pretty big. In a few weeks I will start picking them and making pies to freeze. The branches are so heavy now even though we have thinned out the apples. Don and I pick off the small ones just about every day, otherwise the branches will break. We had it professionally trimmed for the first time last year. He took so many branches out and said we need to do that every other year. We had been doing it ourselves for the past 25 years, but it is just getting too hard now.

A little pincushion
This is the top. It's made of wool. I love working with wool. My younger son has been taking me to the great thrift stores near his house to buy up all the wool skirts we can find. What a way to re-cycle!
Isn't this little ladybug bead cute...I got the pattern and the bead at Bird Brain Designs. I love all their patterns. All I have to do is add a little stuffing, some crushed walnuts and I have a new pin cushion. What fun!!

Aren't these cute...
In my search to be a bit different with dinner, I found these cute little slider buns at the market and thought that they would be fun. At our local store they even had the patties made up and they were the same price as the meat by the pound! Anyway...some home grown yellow tomatoes...our first one of the season..home grown red leaf lettuce and some grilled red onions and YUM! I even made french fries from scratch! Simple things make me happy!
Here's a new bag I am going to deliver today! Notice the black and white theme. I seem to do like colors a lot. I notice that I buy fabric that way. Enjoy the day!

Thanks Debbie...
Here is the latest bag I made for a custom order. The front panel is actually a pocket. The back side is exactly the same as the front . I put more pockets in the inside too. This is the perfect size bag for summer. It travels well to the beach, pool, library, mall...everywhere you want to go! A couple gals are even using these as diaper bags.I am working on a few more custom bags before I can add more inventory to my Etsy shop. Better get to work!
