A little Fall color...

I couldn't believe my eyes when I went out to water my birch trees this morning...some of the leaves have turned yellow...
Not a lot yet...and it's just on one of the six trees...but it's a start!!
There's lots of these little tiny things growing too...
I don't know the proper name for them...they are like tiny fragile pine cones...so cute..
I love the look of the trunks too...these are multi trunk white Birch trees...
I like how the new branches are still brown...and the older parts are white...actually...I love everything about our Birch trees!! They are pure joy to me!!
On another completely different note...I have been working on building inventory for my next craft show in December...I finished this bag...I liked this fabric...I thought it would look so nice with jeans...if it ever cools down enough to wear them!! Today is supposed to be a bit cooler...92...yes...you heard me...no joke...welcome to Fall in my neck of the woods...I think it is supposed to get cooler this weekend...maybe the 80's...well...I do like wearing shorts...and gardening...so 80's aren't bad...
And on another different note...go check out my giveaway...I am hopelessly unable to figure out how to link to my old post...so you have to go back a couple...if you want to enter...there are rules you know...I need rules! Anyway...go back and enter....it's a fun little bag! Also...if anyone...who is a smarty pants can tell me how to link the old posts...I sure would appreciate it! It might help me in the future...and I could sure use any help I can these days!
That's it for now..over and out...I always wanted to say that! Don't ask...
Enjoy the day!!!

I love Fall gardening...

Before I show you what I've been up to...I want to remind you about my bag give away...you still have time to sign up...I finished up the last of my custom bags from the craft show I was in a couple weeks ago...

It's this little Kindle cover...the gal wanted a flap...and a red wool flower...I tried using a pattern...but I couldn't make heads or tails of what they were trying to tell me...so I just sort of copied the idea...I made it so the flower comes down off the flap...next time though...i will put the flower together first...it was really hard to add decorative touches to it without any stitches showing through the flap...I managed...but I wanted French Knots in the center...and that proved to be impossible...this was really fun though!

Now for my gardening pictures...I love gardening in the Fall...the weather is wonderful...even when it gets hot...it doesn't stay hot for long...and I have so much shade in my yard that it's really wonderful in the back these days...Look! The mums have buds on them...I have these in pots...I have a few pots of different colored mums that have been resting in the shade...I think in a week or so I will move them out to the front porch...
Dusty Miller is blooming again too...I love this plant...what a great color to add to your yard...and so easy to grow...doesn't need much water...but it's happy if it gets alot too...
Here's another drought tolerant plant...Autumn Sage...these can get really big though if you're not careful! The hummingbirds and carpenter bees love this plant!
Zinnias doing well too...I like this kind of zinnias...the flower shape is more like a daisy...
Pansies are doing well...I bought a couple pony  packs a couple weeks ago...they are wonderful flowers to have Fall through early Summer in my yard...
All the roses are in bloom...this is a little miniature rose...I got it at Trader Joes...I love the many colors in it...and all the buds on this plant are different...
Blue Salvia...I had to trim this one like crazy...they get huge if you don't pay attention...carpenter bees were all over this one this morning...but they moved way too fast for me to catch them in a picture today!
Here's a hibiscus...it's a double ruffled hibiscus or something like that...the flowers are so pretty...actually there are 2 or 3 flowers on each bud...we've had this one for over 20 years...it froze a couple times during past winters but it came right back in the summer...
I love coleus...they do so well in the morning sun and afternoon shade here...the's some coral bells there too...I have a couple different shade of coral bells...
Can you believe we still have tomatoes...we do!! Last month I cut them back and they came right back...there are quite a few green ones...I've read you shouldn't do this to tomatoes...but I never follow the rules...it works for me!!
Lots of tangerines on our tree...I took this pictures into the sun...sorry how bad it looks...but you get the idea...
And we have a second crop of apples...not near what we have during the summer...thank goodness...but enough to make a few pies and crisps without using the ones in the freezer...
I hope you enjoyed my Fall gardening...and that Fall is as wonderful for you as it is for me!
Have a great day...and don't forget to go sign up for my giveaway...I will try to link it...but I don't guarantee it will work...I've never tried linking to myself before...
Enjoy the day!!!
Note: I couldn't figure out how to link to myself...sorry...and also...my pictures went all off to the side and I centered them...they keep going back...it looks like Blogger has made changes...I need to figure this out!!

I have been reading all about Fall...and feeling it here too...so I thought I'd make a Fall hipster bag...I hope you like it!
I love unusual buttons ...so I needed one on this bag too!
Here's a peek at in lining...there's pumpkins in the lining too...and a patch pocket perfect for your cell phone on the back...so here are the rules...there must be rules I suppose and since I'm in charge...I get to make them!!
I think 3 chances to enter sounds good...3 is a nice number...so without further ado...here's how you can get your 3 chances...or 1 or 2 if that's all you want...
Chance 1...comment on this post...let me know if you'd like to be entered...so simple...right??
Chance 2..just as simple...become a follower...if you are already a follower...mention it in your comment...I go on all of my followers sites as often as I can...so I look at it as making more new friends...I like friends!!
And finally...chance 3..."Like" my Facebook page...I like to be liked...it makes me feel so warm and fuzzy inside!!
So that's it...oh...I think I'll pick the winner soon...because Fall only lasts so long and you'll want to use this bag as soon as you can...so let's say we use October 22 as the last day to enter... oh and make sure that your profile has your e-mail address on it...and if you don't have a blog...I will need a way to get your e-mail address...so either e-mail me or put it in the comment if you feel comfortable with that...so that's it I suppose...Yippee!!

Show's over...

Well...the Piecemakers Craft Show is over ...I am worn out, but I feel like my first ever craft show was a success! I didn't get a chance to take many pictures on Saturday because I was just too busy! Most of these pictures are from Friday after we set up our easy up and then walked around...I'll show you around the area a bit...
Piecemakers is like a little village...the people that work there own it and live there as well...this is the front of the store...it is filled with all kinds of things from fabric to dishes to seasonal decorations to candy and a tea room...here it all decked out for Halloween...
Right by the front door this big pumpkin sat...I never did turn in my slip to guess its weight...
There was this big wagon full of all sorts of different pumpkins...
There's wood for sale...
more pumpkins...
All sorts of seasonal gourds , Indian corn and pumpkins for sale...
This sign was moved to the main isle on Saturday...
I loved this display...
and this one too...
Here's our booth on Friday before we left...everything all covered up ...
First thing Saturday morning...everyone was out early to finish setting up...we got there at about 7:30...there was talk of rain...it rained in some other areas...but it was blue skies here...and it got pretty warm...low 80's...
I'm as ready as I could be...not sure what to expect at this point...
I took a picture of the whole booth...but it was a lousy one...all blurry...I guess I was a little nervous...actually...I was really nervous...it was a little slow starting...but then it picked up and I was on my feet for most of the day...I sold all lot of bags and got a few orders for some custom bags too...I was very happy with the results...I was also glad that it was all over!! Now it's time to get back to my sewing machine...we plan on doing the December show as well...and that's just 2 months away!!
It's a pretty morning this morning...rain is expected for the middle of the week...I think I'll garden for a bit before I come inside and sew...
Enjoy the day, my friends...I will pop by later to see how your weekends went!!
