Every kitchen needs one...

 If you grow this....
Or this...or both...or you just get them from the farmer's market or store...
The you really need one of these!
This is something we can't live without in our kitchen...not only does it dry your lettuce and other veggies really well...it helps...well...for those of you who are a bit squimish...skip this...find the worms you missed when you first washed you lettuce...they can hide really well...after a good spin...they are so dizzy...you can find one at the bottom...it happens...found one today!
Anyway...I love salad...and I love to put all sorts of things on my salad...my favorite are pepitas...oh yum! I get these at the farmer's market...I prefer the raw ones...but they sell them roasted too!
Oh dried fruit is great on salads too...this is mango...and its slightly sugared...another farmer's market find...wonderful!
You need some crunch...Chinese noodles are my favorite...except maybe home made croutons...
I add all sorts of veggies...
Now enjoy! This is my lunch most days...a nice big bowl of salad...I make my dressing very light...today I added a little fresh pineapple to it...yummy!
Until next time...enjoy your day!!!

I have been wanting a salad spinner for the longest time! I usually just get a paper towel wet and clean off each leaf individually and that takes forever. I just hate how hard the leaves are to get dry if I wash them all at once. I think I'll have to get a salad spinner soon!

Salad spinners are very useful indeed. Your lunch looks very yummy and healthy.

Hi Linda.. Your salad looks so awesome and yes we should use a spinner..
I had to laugh to myself when I read your comment (thank you) on my blog as I was hoping you would not see my humble bags when you make such beautiful ones.. smile..
Blessings from Canada..

I couldn't eat salad without my spinner either. It's crazy what comes out of that thing. We have white flies that stick to my lettuce so a good soak for about 30 minutes in a bath of vinegar and cold water kills them and the spinner throws them off. You salad looks so good!

I don't have a spinner...I have almost every gadget made, but I have never gotten around to getting one. I need to do something about that! I love pepitas and also pine nuts in my salad.

Your salad looks terrific! I've been eating a lot of salads, too. I've had to buy my veggies at the grocery store. I am so looking forward to the farmer's markets opening up here...it's been such a long winter!

I hope you are well, I've been so behind on my blog reading.
Take care.
