I love Fall gardening...

Before I show you what I've been up to...I want to remind you about my bag give away...you still have time to sign up...I finished up the last of my custom bags from the craft show I was in a couple weeks ago...

It's this little Kindle cover...the gal wanted a flap...and a red wool flower...I tried using a pattern...but I couldn't make heads or tails of what they were trying to tell me...so I just sort of copied the idea...I made it so the flower comes down off the flap...next time though...i will put the flower together first...it was really hard to add decorative touches to it without any stitches showing through the flap...I managed...but I wanted French Knots in the center...and that proved to be impossible...this was really fun though!

Now for my gardening pictures...I love gardening in the Fall...the weather is wonderful...even when it gets hot...it doesn't stay hot for long...and I have so much shade in my yard that it's really wonderful in the back these days...Look! The mums have buds on them...I have these in pots...I have a few pots of different colored mums that have been resting in the shade...I think in a week or so I will move them out to the front porch...
Dusty Miller is blooming again too...I love this plant...what a great color to add to your yard...and so easy to grow...doesn't need much water...but it's happy if it gets alot too...
Here's another drought tolerant plant...Autumn Sage...these can get really big though if you're not careful! The hummingbirds and carpenter bees love this plant!
Zinnias doing well too...I like this kind of zinnias...the flower shape is more like a daisy...
Pansies are doing well...I bought a couple pony  packs a couple weeks ago...they are wonderful flowers to have Fall through early Summer in my yard...
All the roses are in bloom...this is a little miniature rose...I got it at Trader Joes...I love the many colors in it...and all the buds on this plant are different...
Blue Salvia...I had to trim this one like crazy...they get huge if you don't pay attention...carpenter bees were all over this one this morning...but they moved way too fast for me to catch them in a picture today!
Here's a hibiscus...it's a double ruffled hibiscus or something like that...the flowers are so pretty...actually there are 2 or 3 flowers on each bud...we've had this one for over 20 years...it froze a couple times during past winters but it came right back in the summer...
I love coleus...they do so well in the morning sun and afternoon shade here...the's some coral bells there too...I have a couple different shade of coral bells...
Can you believe we still have tomatoes...we do!! Last month I cut them back and they came right back...there are quite a few green ones...I've read you shouldn't do this to tomatoes...but I never follow the rules...it works for me!!
Lots of tangerines on our tree...I took this pictures into the sun...sorry how bad it looks...but you get the idea...
And we have a second crop of apples...not near what we have during the summer...thank goodness...but enough to make a few pies and crisps without using the ones in the freezer...
I hope you enjoyed my Fall gardening...and that Fall is as wonderful for you as it is for me!
Have a great day...and don't forget to go sign up for my giveaway...I will try to link it...but I don't guarantee it will work...I've never tried linking to myself before...
Enjoy the day!!!
Note: I couldn't figure out how to link to myself...sorry...and also...my pictures went all off to the side and I centered them...they keep going back...it looks like Blogger has made changes...I need to figure this out!!

Oh my! Your fall garden is as pretty as your summer one. You have quite the green thumb.
Love your Kindle cover and giveaway bag are wonderful. The Kindle cover I made last year for my Kindle turns the other way with a flap. I'm going to try to make a couple for the upcomming craft shows. The one last week was really an antique show so didn't expect to sell much. But it was fun seeing people I know and being with my friends.
I would love to win your bag and am off to sign up.

You have a wonderful array of color and plants and looks like there will be plenty of good things to eat!
I think it was ingenious of you to design the kindle cover flower like that!
Best wishes

Nice to see color your way. All of my things are brown! Mums and pumpkins are adding a bit of color though.

Sweet little Kindle cover - I'm sure the customer will be delighted with it and then some....You fall blooms are amazing - wow - dusty millers really bloom? Guess our growing season isn't long enough here - I use them as accent plants - but they are just annuals and get frozen before they bloom. And to imagine roses and tomatoes this time of year. Wow....I'm amazed! Wishing you a wonderful tomorrow! Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin

Great garden photos, Linda. Things are really winding down here...not a whole lot of sun but last night the moon was beautiful. Love that Kindle cover!

Linda your flowers are beautiful. I think you did a wonderful job on the kindle cover. What kind of apples are those, I never seen it in any nursery also. Unusual shape of a apple.
