Treats for the birds...

Every Summer near my bird feeder along the back fence large sunflowers grow...I'm sure it's from the seeds that get buried under ground by the birds...these big heads were ready to cut off this morning...I hung them upside down in the apple tree...
Now the seeds just have to dry for a few days and there will be lots more for the birds to feast on..I think they will be happy about this...
In this heat gardening has to be done very early in the morning...it is too hot to do too much past 10 AM...I spent this morning weeding and trimming in my back yard...my yard looks so much different in the Summer heat...I'll show you some of the plants that love this heat tomorrow...
Until then...stay cool and enjoy your day!!

Niiice. Reminds me to go out and fill my feeders for my feathered friends.
Looks like your summer is going awesome!

LOVE it. I didn't plant any this year. Wish I had.

My sunflowers are just now flowering. I always save them for the birds as well.

Birds are just great aren't they, spreading seeds around!

It amazes me you can garden in this weather at all. Every weekend I am home, I try to get out in my bitty garden, but can't get much done, before the heat gets me.
I will be driving my car down on Tuesday night next week. If you want to meet somewhere on Wed. or Thurs., I would love it.
