Been busy around here...

I have been reading My Sew Sweet Studio since I first got into blogging last year and imagine my happy surprise when I learned that Beverly would be in our area this summer...yesterday we finally managed to meet and she is just as sweet and nice as I pictured her!! My sister Debbie met us at Stars and Scraps Quilt Shop and then we had a nice lunch...it was so nice putting the face and voice to this awesome bloggy friend! Thanks Debbie and Beverly for a nice day and I can't wait to meet up again!!
On another front...have I told you recently what an awesome husband I have...I couldn't be more thankful than to be married to such a great man!! He is so supportive of my venture into trying to make a go of this bag making business...I let him know that I was going to be in a couple craft shows and here he is helping out by making displays for my bags ...
I wanted some really rustic looking boxes to display my zipper bags in...these are perfect...he made them out of some old cedar fencing we had been saving for just this type of project....
Just look at this wood after he sanded them all down....yummy!!!
This is one of my favorites...it's on the side of one of the boxes...now all I need to do is get the rest of the bags made to fill them all up!! So if you don't see me around much it's because I have chained myself to the sewing machine...I need to get my inventory done and I just got a huge...but awesome order from my best client...who is also my dentist!!
Enjoy your day...mine will be spent sewing!!!

Wow...what a super sweet honey you have, my friend! I love your rustic display boxes and I love, love, LOVE all those beautiful bright zipper purses! Sending you the best of wishes for a successful sale! Thanks for sharing your pretties with us!

I also wanted to thank you for coming by and taking a peek at my frenchy studio! I so enjoyed your visit and sweet note!

Hi Linda! I've been locking in my sewing room these past few days, also. Haven't even taken time to read blogs!

How wonderful that you got to meet up with your blog friend in person and spend a nice day together. Its awesome, isn't it?

And wow....Don is such a great guy to be helping you out like that....you are one very lucky lady. I love the boxes he's made for you, and I know you'll soon get them all filled up. And...I hope that you sell out at the shows! :o)

Congrats on the big order, too. Isn't it gratifying when someone loves what you do and keeps coming back for more?

Have a great weekend, and I'll be chatting with you soon!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Oh darn, just lost my comment. I'll try again.
It was such a joy meeting you. I just knew we would have lots in common. You were so sweet to pick me up and take me to Stars and Scraps and lunch was fun too.
Yes, you do have an awesome hubby to help and be so supportive of your business. The boxes are perfect for your zipper bags. Looks like you have a good start on them.
It was sweet of him to bring me the bag I left in your car too.
